Prices started going down in price the week after that height. It probably isn't going down at all this time for several weeks at least, not before Memorial day, I'll bet. :( |

| May 8 | Barrel Crude $69.77 Washington Post has article specifically naming peak oil as the real energy problem and that the White House and the government know very well that this is happening and need to tell the country the truth. Also, on April 30, Meet the Press had energy secretary and several oil company, and some congressmen on to discuss the problem--they called it "the crisis" of rising gasoline problems. Oil people had some intelligent things to say. I don't know how many people really believed them though! Newsweek's May 15 edition is going to cover the gasoline/gas/energy situation in the world. I think I've got those dates right, the online Newsweek has had a ongoing series about oil problems. Robert Hirsch's Feb 2005 report is mentioned everwhere it seems these days in this kind of reporting. | Gal Reg Gas | ||
