August 2006 Energy Prices
Aug 1Barrel Crude $74.91 Gal Reg Gas Wow, here we are a whole year after I started keping track of these prices, a few weeks before Katrina.
Aug 2Barrel Crude $75.81Gal Reg Gas still about 2.96-2.98, 3.06-3.08, 3.16-3.18. Israel/Lebanon thing heating up; tropical storm heating up in Gulf today; tremendous heat wave moving across US is straining power grids. I expect Crude to head way up in the next few days.
Aug 3Barrel Crude $75.46Gal Reg Gas Same Israel/Lebanon thing still on; Israel only needs a few more days to reach it's "goal".
Aug 4Barrel Crude $74.76Gal Reg Gas
Aug 7 Barrel Crude $76.98 Gal Reg Gas Gas has dropped 1-2 cents in my areas: 2.94, 3.04, 3.14. But BP had to shut down the oil pipeline from Prudhoe Bay (Alaska) today because of leak problems. This is bad news and things will start going up again.
